★ THIS IS A WORK OF SATIRE. NOTHING ON THIS SITE IS FACTUAL. ★
What this is. The Corruption Detector™ is a one-page comedy bit. It assigns every sitting U.S. federal politician a "corruption score" between 6.0 and 10.0. The score is generated by a deterministic random number generator seeded by the politician's name. There is no investigative reporting, no methodology, no data — just dice rolls and gags.
What it is not. It is not journalism. It is not an allegation. It is not a database of misconduct. The "sub-metrics" (lobbyist meetings, suspicious stock trades, etc.) are made up numbers. The "Most Recent Suspicious Activity" headlines are absurd one-liners assigned at random. Nothing here should be repeated as fact.
Why exist. Because in a country where every politician swears they're the only honest one, sometimes the funniest response is a bright red meter that says otherwise — about all of them, equally, with zero evidence.

Politician portraits are sourced from the public-domain federal portrait collection at bioguide.congress.gov (works of the U.S. Government, public domain) and from Wikimedia Commons under their respective licenses. Politicians without an available portrait are shown with a generic silhouette.
